Overview of 2019 Gaming Summits


In recent times, game developers and other stakeholders involved in the gaming industry have been organizing different summits where they gather to share and exchange ideas. Sometimes, they also gather to honour those that would have made incredible developments in the industry. As we look ahead to 2019, the trend remains the same. There are some gaming summits that are already lined up for 2018. Below, we share with you some of the top gaming summits lined up in 2019.

International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA)

The next summit of the International Association of Gaming Advisors is set to be held from June 4 to June 6. It will be the 38th time that the summit will be held. The IAGA summit is set to be hosted at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay in northern California. IAGA, in general, is a summit which brings together different stakeholders in the gaming industry to discuss pertinent issues affecting the industry. Gaming regulators, bankers, investors, attorneys, suppliers, and operators are all expected to attend. Members of the general public who have an interest in the gaming industry can also partake at the summit.

Prague Gaming Summit

For the third year running, the Prague Gaming Summit will be hosted at the Vienna House Andel’s Prague. The summit is in its third year running; the previous two editions were highly successful and as such, the same is expected for the 2019 edition. In general, the Prague Gaming Summit brings together all actors involved in the gaming industry to network and share ideas. The summit is organized by European Gaming Events formerly known as EEG Events. Gaming actors will discuss the trends in the industry, international regulations, opportunities and challenges. Suppliers will also have the opportunity to exhibit their games, for those who want to have an early taste of the games to be exhibited at the upcoming summit, you can play now.

BiG Africa Supershow

The 6th edition of the BiG Africa Supershow is to be held on March 25 to 26 next year. The BiG Africa Supershow largely focuses on the African gaming market as it brings together different actors (service providers, regulators and operators) involved in the gaming industry. Those involved will discuss many issues mainly relating on how to make Africa a competitive force in the gaming industry. During the summit, those who want to exhibit their products are also free to do so.

Sports Betting East Africa Summit

The Sports Betting East Africa Summit is another summit that largely focuses on the gaming developments on the African continent. As you might have already deduced, the summit also focuses largely on one niche of gaming i.e. sports betting. The summit which will be in its fifth year running is going to be held from April 9 to 10. Though largely focusing on Africa, international actors are also invited to come and participate. Those (either hailing from Africa or beyond) who want to exhibit their products can do so.
